Fermanagh v Cavan

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I see the Hoganstand pointed out the fact we have nt wons two games in a row in Ulster since 2001..

Very hard to understand that stat when you see all the great players that went through. Dermot Mc cabe ,all the Reillys.. Really puts things in perspective.

Was at the 2001 Ulster Final should have won it..Was at the 2004 semi final V Armagh the backs had a nightmare in last quater but Mc kenna got sent off in 1st min & Mc Cabe was injured. Pierson gave an exhibition that day..

Cavan Geals dominated this era in the club scene .The county board developed great grounds & decent underage. The country was awash with oppurtunities. Perhaps now those three things are gone ,we ll see things blossom

Lookin forward to sunday but playin Div 3 i don t think we ll win Ulster for 3 more years. Fermanagh will be rough tight they ll have us on the rack but won t put us away & we ll have a stronger bench!!

Well lads...bookies have Cavan at 4/5 favs for sunday...after impressive Armagh display its a fair judgement perhaps.

Many supporters going to travel from Cavan sunday given the G8 traffic disruption plus the Ulster councils ridiculous pricing for the east stand?????.....can see both terraces being packed now..... Without the G8 and crazy pricing id reckon potentially could have got 15,000+ but hard to see that now plus game is live on BBC and RTE

Anyone one know might it be streamed online?

TYKESTV.EU

Select Streams and select the UKTV link on the top right.....the match is on BBC2 at 14:00BST

Select peer to peer network to allow that the speed is optimized

If pop-up appear ... look for the "X"....and kill them off...then when you can see the screen expand button....select so that you get full screen.

Make sure your Anti virus and spam checks are working.

Great site for all sports channels in these recessionary times :(

Does that give you BBC NI? Have you watched them there before?

Mcenroe is seemingly 50/50 for the game sunday, he done ligaments in his ankle or something in that region playing with Ramor the weekend before last hense why he wasnt playing against Mayo. Word from a reliable source.

Game on Sunday is on BBC2....so you will get the stream.....just allow the peer to peer when requested, otherwise it will take an age to load. Try in advance

Its a great site, when you get familiar with all the pop-ups and how to locate the "x" to close the windows that can be displayed. Also, some of them are time released, so if you wait for approx 30 seconds, a close tab will appear to allow you to close the window.

Sometimes the site get closed down (Prem league high-profile games), but Tobi (the main man !!!) gets the games back online quickly.

Pass it on to the boys stateside and County-Oz

Hon Cavan and the Baby Cavan team this evening !!

Fermanagh have named a strong team, all those 10 million players they had out injured seem to have miraculously recovered! Barry Owens starts at full back, he's bound to have lost a yard or two of pace since his all star days, perhaps we can exploit this. I suspect he'll be put on Keating. Now there's a battle I am really, really looking forward to seeing! Bring it on!

I still do not understand what Terry Hyland is doing. Fair enough it was a good performance Vs Armagh but Armagh were very poor.

For me John Mc Cutcheon is a key player for Cavan. All year long he is running the midfield with cootehill scoring 3 or 4 points from play. How he is not starting is a joke. Not naming players but hyland needs to get his fingers out of certain players arses and play Cavan's best.

I heard three pundits today, asked for their views on Fermanagh v Cavan. Kevin McStay (rte radio 1), Darragh O'Shea, Senan Connell and Martin Carney (Today FM Matt Cooper Show). All went for Fermanagh :( :(

Aye, heard the same thing myself. Don't forget everyone tipped Armagh to beat us as well. Respect is earned in Gaelic Football and right now nobody respects Cavan given the nature of the last 10 years. Only we can change it.

pundits dont win games!! though it's hard to see where the cavan scores will come from. Hopefully the Cavan backline will be as crowded. Doubt if it'll turn out to be a classic

That's why I think this game could suit Jack Brady down to the ground. Keating and Dunne will be marshalled tightly, might leave a bit of room for Jack to operate. A goal or a red card will decide this game, thats how tight it will be. Such a shame though that we don't have Gearoid, he was always useful for kicking good long range scores, surprisingly good accuracy too for a midfielder. I just hope we don't push Givney into the FF line, we all saw how disastrous it was in the league.

Classic ! I'd say it'll be the opposite to a classic. Don't get me wrong though ! since when did any Cavan team ever fear ANY Fermanagh team ? on the flip side of all the pundits fancying Fermanagh, maybe that's a good thing ! This Cavan team have nothing to fear, it's just a case of going out there on the day and doin their stuff ! As I said before, the only real concern I would have with this team is midfield ! But I was at the challenge in Ballina against Mayo, and the boys worked the ball out very very intelligently from the kick outs, totally bypassing midfield (in the 1st half anyways !). They will need to do this against Fermanagh, I presume ? Having said that I thought Armagh would have lorded it at midfield against us, and I suppose to some extent they did, but they wasted a lot of ball too !
You could talk about it all day ! just go out there Cavan and do us proud.

If we don't beat Fermanagh all people will say about us this year is that we beat an Armagh team using the worst tactical set up seen in Ulster in years. Fermanagh will be very tough but if we are to signal real progress we need to be able to win a Championship dogfight.
While Canavan has been attempting to play mind games by whinging to the media about the supposed injury list and playing the poor mouth, Hyland and Cavan have been keeping their heads down preparing. They came to Breffni this year and stole our promotion chances, the lads should be chomping at the bit to get revenge.

Long shot here but anyone have any idea of players that will be playing in the Development Squad game and what clubs they're from?
