We have learned arguing with officials get you nowhere. As for used to getting beatings we're a team in transition and have been unlucky with injuries at key times this year. we'll be hoping to get 2 wins in our last two games to stay up.

i think we can agree that all teams in cavan take there beatings graciously, except the Gaels of course.

The Gaels never lose games, it's the referee beats them. Surprisingly every game where they complain vehemently about the referee is one where they lost.

Gaels chairman hits out at referees...Cavan Gaels should be ashamed of themselves. You are still complaining about a game 2 years ago (which you lost)

Cavan gaels took killygarry for granted and lost as they did with kingscourt(2 yrs ago) and lost. It is not always the refs fault. Discipline seems to be the problem
in the club.

So, were half way through the week. Down to the last four in the race for the Oliver Plunkett trophy, which has been dusted off & collected from Terry Coyle Park.
Who's trophy cabinet will it sit in this winter ?
The teams have probably one more training session left before the weekend.
After that, its simply down to who delivers on the evening or in the second semi final, on the day.
Any injury concerns ?

Kingscourt v Castlerahan
Two evenly matched teams. Both contested the final over the last two years. The only difference being, the east cavan men tore up the script & deservedly claimed the title. Castlerahan on the other hand did not produce the goods or was the wounded animal of Cavan Gaels too much for them on the day. Not going to be much in this game. Let me flick a coin here & i'll get back to you

Killygary V Mullahoran
Not new territory for Killygary, but can they reproduce the performance of the quarter final shock over the holders. Mullahoran have been building steadily all year, looked doomed early on in the league & are now sitting in the top 6 & have progressed nicely under the radar. Mullahoran should have the experience to pull through in this encounter, but they rarely have much to spare over any opposition. Will be an interesting encounter also. The crubany men will feel they have a good chance of winning

Get the popcorn ready folks

I'll play it safe and say a Mullahourn/Kingscourt final, however i'd prefer to see Killygarry/Castlerahen in it.

come on ritz , you know kingscourt are favourites. you are just trying to play down their chances. they should beat castlerahan handsomely.
i fancy mullahoran to beat killygarry narrowly.

If the gaels were in the other semi, kingscourt would fancy their chances of getting to the final , now that gaels are out and kingscourt are raging favourites its all 50:50 and "on the day" and lets everyone flick their coin. Donegal are at the same crack, everyone knows they will beat Mayo by ten points minimum and kingscourt and Mullahoran will be in the final both at a canter, with kingscourt winning by 8 or 9.

Wish id gone to more games.

Castlerahan have potential & tis team will win The champ. You d be hard picked to know will it be this year.

kingscourt scoring is very impressive. But if they go behind. Who knows?

Mullahorn seem to be the most consistant

Killygarry very solid club but do they score enough to win the game. Perhaps we ll see a draw here..

If on their last performance I am not all that sure that Mullahorn will get it easy with Killygarry. If they play to their potential yes but if same as well I think Killygarry could shade it. Martin Reilly young Kelly the McGoverns Galligan now they will not be easy and what a chance to get to the county final so not easy for Mullahorn.

First off guys, its Mullahoran, not Mullahourn, or Mullahorn - it's not that hard to get the spelling of a club right.

Rant over. Anyway, I think it will be a Kingscourt Mullahoran final, where it will descend into a dogfight where either team can win. Kingscourt look strong and should have enough for Castlerahan, they have enough experience and quality to take Castlerahan on. That's not putting them down though, this championship has shown that anyone could win on their day, Castlerahan still cannot be discounted. Likewise Mullahoran should have enough to beat Killygarry. Killygarry were unreal in beating a disorganised Gaels, but playing Mullahoran at the business end of the championship is a different beast, no easy games here - it will be hard for Killygarry to string together two serious results in a row, but it still can be done. It will be close, Mullahoran don't win by much, but they are on some streak at the minute and they will be very hard beat. The Dreadnoughts have Enda Reilly and Raymond Lynch back in the squad, and this should free up a few players to move out into the field to win and supply ball in. They are stronger than earlier in the championship and Eddie is in the form of his life. Biased I know, but I can't see past Mullahoran.

Great semis for the Championship. I can't remember a more open championship where all teams can win. I'm looking forward to both semis and the final, no matter what teams reach it. Let's hope the refs allow the play to happen and don't run what can be some great games. Unfortunately the refs have been the talking point at the end of a lot of games this year - refs should be nearly invisible and only come into play when really needed. Games need to flow.

i don't think if Killygarry defeat Mullahoran it will be a serious result as you put it. Mullahoran are a good side as are Killygarry not much in the difference. so its a 50/50 game. Killygarry not the underdogs they where against the gaels!

That's not what I am saying Jim_Shorts. I am saying it is not an easy game - all games at this stage are serious games, whether it be against Mullahoran or any other team in the county at this level. Any team can step up for a big game, what i'm asking is have Killygarry got what it takes to put in another big performance?
