Killygarry v Cavan Gaels - Gaels will win but it wont be by as much as people are expecting- Gaels by 4/5

Ballinagh v Mullahoran - Ballinagh are apparently missing a player or 2, i'v seen both teams play this year and in my opinion Mullahourn are a stronger side. Mullahourn by 3/4

Castlerahan v Belturbet - Both sides are improving but i dont think either side can win the championship this year. It will be a very close encounter but i expect Castlerahen to win by 1 or 2 points

Kingscourt v Drumgoon - I cant see any other result but a comfortable Kingscourt win, Drumgoon weren't expected to get out of the group and i would be shocked if they won here. Kingscourt by 5/6

Mullahoran beat Ballinagh by 0-11 to 1-6. Ballinagh poor and missed a lot of frees but Mullahoran done enough. Ballinagh goal should have been disallowed for a foul in the back line. Ref poor again for both sides

No you are not the gales have been playing bad throughout the championship and it s not a surprise at ball. Thomas had a chance to kill this game off in the first half when he kicked a wide in-front of an open goal, Kelly missed a soft 13 meter free and Martin Reilly missed several score able chances. On the day the better and hungrier team won its that simple. It was a very poor senior championship game and it would be hard to say that Killygarry will go on and win the title the same applies to Mullahorn after last nights performance. It will be interesting to see Belturbet Castlerahan match tonight. Unfortunately unable to see Kingscourt last night.

Lads what went on in Breffni today? I have been told (By Gaels Supporters) that the standard of refereeing was absolutely terrible. I believe with the last kick of the game he blew for a free in for the gaels that would have levelled it up but instead blew the full time whistle. Can someone who was at it clarify please?

--------
Was at this as a neutral
Killygarry were three down and picked up 2/3 frees to get nose in front. Reilly kicked a nice point from distance with outside of boot to go two Ahead.
Didn,t see anything wrong with the frees. And for the gaels last attack. No. 18 for Killygarry keaney was being dragged back in front of ref who let play go.
I didn,t see anything blatant either way but gaels were not happy after the game. Ref Needed garda escort off the pitch.

Gaels number 15 - dunne hit crossbar with 10 mins to go.

Gaels had a clear point waved wide they also had a clear goal not awarded the back was behind the line. This was agreed by all sides and neutrals behind the goal. The Gaels sideline were a disgrace to the club with their behaviour afterwards. The hungrier team won but the ref was very poor.

It's not fair to blame the whole Gaels club it is the same few the whole time that let them down

The problem is the Gaels have been getting away with bad behaviour for a long time while the smaller clubs were being penalised.

Now now Evano11 give an accurate account of things.

Facts

Gaels where poor, a lot of poor shooting. I thought the the ref gave a lot of handy frees to the Gaels throughout the game but at the end they could of got a peno. i'd say about 80% of refs would of given a peno. But saying that Damien Keaney was fouled by two gaels players inside the 45 just before that attack and if they got the free which they deserved, Killygarry would of scored. The Gaels in typical Gaels fashion went mad at the end. The better and more hungerier team won and good look to Killygarry.

Another defeat another ref to blame... I was at this game and as sean said below the far hungrier team won, its that simple. Ref let a lot of bad behaviour slide until he lost it near the end and started showing the red cards. Gaels didnt score a clear goal, the back had one foot behind the line but the ball never crossed the line. At the end the ref blew for a free out for a lift ball off the ground ( after gales player looked for a penalty) but when he was surrounded by blue jerseys he blew for full time. Disgraceful scenes after the whistle, I hope the CB take the action needed this time. Championship is wide open now, there'll be 4 teams believing they can win it............
