Killygarry were very poor. Mullahorn were also very poor but not just as bad. No player stood out for either team. Killygarry tried the high ball in the whole first half which worked once for the goal. Then they went the other in the second half - time and again they carried the ball into contact. They were never going to win that way with mullahorn been much physically stronger. I wasnt at the game Saturday evening but by all accounts kingscourt were very impressive. They'll be hard stopped now but Mullahorn will surely put up more of a fight than castleraghan.

Why would Denn be kicking themselves? Was I watching a different championship or were Denn not the worst team by a long way of the 14 taking part?
Don't think they would've even been competitive at intermediate level from what I saw.

Would be ironic though if it was wide after what happened in the quarter final!

if eddie didnt dive he must of slipped because there was no contact from Eoin Smith. as for the point i was on the terrace and it was wide no doubt about it. all the killygarry fans on the terrace were raging (best view from terrace, and goal umpire best view) and the linesman should of been man enough to give his view. so if you take away them scores Mullahoran got from favourable decisions killygarry could of won the game. Mullahoran were the better team and deserved winners but if could of being a different result. the standard of refereeing in Cavan is as bad as i have seem.
ps - seanorinn summary is spot on and i dont say that much!

Also as I said earlier, O Reilly seemed to dive for that free, Mullahoran forwards also got a couple of softish frees in the 1st half, and Killygarry got a couple also including one 14 yarder for a lift ball which appeared to be hopping to me. Now granted I was a bit away from the action but so was the referee(about 30 metres), just seemed a strange one at the time. Numerous other soft frees throughout, and the same the evening before, and indeed in previous rounds.
Are Cavan refs too whistle happy?
I would love to see statistics if such existed for number of frees in club gamesi in Cavan compared to other counties.

Delusion at its best there Denn man, to say that Denn are on par with Mullahourn is one of the silliest things i have ever read on this and thats saying something. If you forget about previous teams and forget about a couple of county finals Denn got to there is no argument that THIS Denn team were the weakest team in the senior championship this year and would not have been able to compete with any of the other sides, you played 2 games and took a hammering in both and would have done so against Lavey too if Lavey had to win that game, you can blab on all ya like but i would prefer some facts to prove this current bunch are what you say they are because so far all you have given us is a whole loan of dribble.

I understand but its hard to get stewards to come and work for free for three matches on the trot I think you might get your answer from this post. I was in Breffni park from 1130 until 2225 hrs last night sat down for my dinner then so I think you can draw another reason from that as well.

The ball from the ground was spot on, the point was very wrong the dive was blatantly obvious to everyone in the park including to every player on the pitch. He dived he knows he dived a sad way to win anything fair play is all that should be asked for, the correct decision from the referee should have been a yellow card for the dive and a wide that was indicated by the goal umpire should have stood.

Denn are nowhere near as good as Mullahoran.
Ye may have beaten Kingscourt before, but like you say that was in the past.
If none of the 4 semi-finalists or Cavan Gaels had entered the championship, Denn still wouldn't have won it, Ballinagh, Belturbet, Gowna, Lavey all well ahead of Denn, so take it easy man, no need for ye to be kicking yourselves, believe me in the annals of history nobody will ever look back on the 2012 championship and say "Denn left that one behind them" Nobody. Ever.
Take from that whatever consolation you can.

Don t know why your all being so aggressive. One can only assunme it soothes the pain from your own short fallings . I don t know individually what clubs ye belong too . But success tends to send out a clear message & your lack of it only leads me to think your clubs are starved of silverware & happiness!!

We ve competed at the top of our game thus far. We don t go in saying god we don t belong in senior we ll train harder next year . circumstances beyond our control added to our woes this year. emmigration sendings off.Im sure you ll take this into consideration.

The standard is all im attacking if anything. So relax keyboard warriors.. Time will tell

Gotta go but do respond positively & i ll sign in tommorrow to share some of our vast GAA Knowlegde up here in Denn..
