What can they do, they only have 11 players for tonight, sure look at Cavan Gaels divison 2 team didnt field a team last week and the size of that club compared to drung.

Be very hard for Denn to beat any mid table Div 1 team at this stage of the year..

I think Cootehill and Crosserlough could have gone level but prob would not have made up the scoring differance.

Denn would have won easily anyway if the game had of been played last week/next week as Drung missing alot of players.

Cootehill and Crosserlough would have drawn level if Drung had of beaten Denn. Would have then went to head to head results as points difference can't be used because Shannon Gaels threw so many games during the year. Cootehill beat both Denn and Crosserlough in the league so would have won it out! Would have been a big ask for Drung to beat Denn in the first place...

Denn man u are pickin a tight championship final to be predicting cootehill.. On fairness i tink myself they are gud enough and have a gud quaility team to win it but lacken will b a strong task for them or any other team..

Dunno i seen lacken twice this year & they ve gone back. Three supposedly better forwards way short on fitness dunno through injury or whatever finbar shud be impact sub. Mc kiernan won t be playin in two more years. Finnegan love watching him catch and carry or score from play. A good footballing side alday long.

But personally i think Cootehill will win pulling up.


Anywaz thats an argument for another day. A three way play off would be a mess. Denn would be favs against a Drung side in midtable. Crosserlough will feel agreived maybe. But they so young & they ll prob win Div 2 through fitness should be happy with their year..

I vaguely remember something about Denn giving walkovers for their last 2 games last year which prevented Crosserlough from been promoted as one of those games Denn were due to play was against one of the teams promoted from Division 2 last year?

Is it true that denn got two walkovers this year against shannon gaels and drung ? if so they could be playing in the senior championship next year by getting four points handed to them which is disgraceful a team in divison one having played all year will go into a playoff with a team after getting points by default. there should be rules if clubs cant field a team they should have points deducted.

in fairness to Denn Steve, they would have rathered the games at the time, playing shannon gaels for most teams in the top 3 or 4 meant a 15+ points win aiding their score dfference.
Its not ideal, but shannon gaels or Drung(who were after having a wedding in the club the day before i think) were never going to take points off Denn in these fixtures

Milhouse, I think Denn beat Shannon gaels earlier on in the year by 20+ points. As you rightly point out they would have beaten Drung if that game had went ahead so they are deservedly top of the league.
