Get behind the team

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Right now a new panel is being assembled, players and management are about to embark on a regime of training and dedication to further the cause of Cavan football. Let's get behind the team and energise their efforts. Like young men in all walks of life they need support, we know we have a great support base and are the most passionate of followers so let's express this early, use the HS as a motivator.

Come on Cavan.

I have been behind the Cavan team before your ar*e was the size of a shirt button and will continue to do so. However I don't like the direction they are taking me !!
I always like to see blue skies ahead but I can only see grey foggy ones at the moment !!

Onclir,
you are the worse type of poster on these types of forums.
you posted a message asking people to get behind the team, but not as a way to conjure up real support, but to provide you with more fodder by which to continue your vendetta on the likes of Myself, Richiej, Cavanslasher, s Goldrick and others who feel at the moment that all is not right with Cavan football.

would love to "get behind the team" but is there a team? who is on this team? where is this team from? why is this team such a secret?......its funny this last few weeks moving around in GAA circles, if one says something like ...well any news of the county...or.. whats the story with the county......or hows things going with the county.....the reply is (A) -a look of horror that you have mentioned the war? (B) -a look of fear as though you have just mentioned the unmentionable and the person your asking doesnt want to be seen in your company in case of becoming infected with your dangerous curiosity (C)- the morale is high they are training 6 nights a week...so your left wondering who is training 6 nights is it the manager, selectors chairman, secretary, caretaker cos after all there is no panel...or is there. I sure am on board, get behind the team!

uncle clir
how about talking some football?
you open the topic...
yet your 3 post since have been digs at other posters

you are as you do...
clearly you have nothing substantial to contribute to any football topic, including worryingly those that you start yourself.
heres your chance...

So if the Panel is being assembled, who do you think from your viewing of games this year deserves a chance to be on the panel?
with Donegal our first game in the championship, how should we be preparing?
with a tough away game to Wexford to start tyhe league, how do you think we should be preparing to close down their forwards, two of whom were amoung the two 10 scorers in the championship in 2010?
what sort of blend should the senior panel have (age profile...youth versus experience, ability profile...skill players versus effort players,)
what system do you think we could employ to get the best of the talent available?
John Morrison is renowned for inventive ways to get accross his messages, will the players be ready for the sports psychology approach?
how do you think we will fare in the league? what games do you expect us to win? which will be tough? are there any games you are looking forward to?
will the longford game be a chance to see our progress from last year? how do you think we will do?

pick any question, and talk football

Ochonlir doesn't discuss the actual football, never has really.
Tell us what your views are on some of the questions you've posed Cav01 and maybe we could get some discussion going as opposed to the back and forth about criticism of our management.

Fair enought, shall we start with the first question, who have I seen that I think might be an addition to the panel, I think Declan Mckeirnan might be worth a look as should from the same club Daragh Taigh. Niall mcdermott, kevin meehan, niall murry and niall smith, oisin minagh, alan omara geroid Mckeirnan and packie leady from the under 21s.
toasty from Kingscourt, and phil smith from there also.
Paddy smith from killinkere, looks useful.
anyone else with thoughts?
