1037071 This could go either way. John's an amazing character and brings a lot of fun to team preparation. However he can be hard to understand at times and I can see his message going over the heads of some of our lads. It will be colourful though, guaranteed. I welcome his arrival. Val knows him well enough to judge the value of his input. He has developed a lot of good players.

Did Val work with him before ?.
Why did Val not bring him in this year?Morrison wasnt involved with anyone
Do you know any good players that he developed? Because he never stayed more than a year or 2 at any County.

Well Slasher all i know was that he was involved the year Mayo got to an All Ireland Final.. Think it was 2006?..Dont think he has any success in Donegal or Letrim..He was involved with Armagh back in the early 90s with the balloons for the midfielders..
Most ex players ive spoken to are either 100% behind him or 100% against his methods.. There doesnt seem to be an inbetween.
It will be interesting to see how he fits in with the rest of the bluffers!!..

Lads we could bring in Houdini but it still wouldnt matter.....We simply dont have the players whether it be mentally, skillfully of physically strong enough to compete. As Tony Scullion always said...If he had the choice between the best footballer skill wise or the footballer who wanted to work hard then he would pick the player whos willing to give everything. I have said it all along we need Sports psychologists in there and the players to respond to it.

Mystic Meg..... I think we need a few forwards that can kick the ball over the bar from 20-30 yards.. A few backs that can tackle.. A goalkeeper who can vary the odd kickout .. A midfielder or 2 who can contest the odd ball and a manager who could make the odd constructive switch rather that always talking about next year.. That would do for starters...

something of note,
both Val and John are cut from the same cloth, as both walk away from county jobs when they felt that they didn't get the support they "deserved"
Val from Cavan and John from Leitrim.
