Well done Joe

Must have been at least 8 steps for the Dublin goal.. That alone will cost Joe another All Ireland... McEneaney didn't get this years Final in his last year over his square ball blunder in last years final... Joe is not good enough yet for national level.. That was proved on Sunday

Overall, it was a very poor referrring performance from McQuillan he was easily 60:40 in favour of Dublin any time Dublin were on the attack, and by looking over it Kerry had to work harder to earn frees off McQuillan... At the end of the day, there was a point in it, and how he could have adjudged a "pick-up" against Kerry, when clearly replays show it wasnt is beyond me, but saying that Kerry have only themselves to blame, four points up with seven minutes remaining is unacceptable at inter-county level, and really in an AI Final, anyone 4 points up with 7 minutes left should be driving on, and leaving the widest margin possible between them and the opposition, but fair play to da dubs they had the mental resolve and composure to kick on from the goal and at the end of the day, thats what champions are about, the never say die attitude..

Once an inter county ref reaches 50 they have to stop referring at inter county level.. That's what happened B Crowe..

The one thing that Brian held onto was his integrity he stood by his decisions and for that alone in my eyes is one of our very best referees ever in my life time.

kerry still would have been 4 points up only the ref gave dublin a free for a touch on the ground that wasnt, a goal after 8-10 steps that should have been a free out and a free at the end for McMenamin running into barry john so they have the ref to blame..not themselves

the decision that I found strangest of all was the free in he gave to dublin for the handling on the ground which clearly wasn't handling. is it an offence to lie on the ground and kick the ball away whilst lying down. he was very demonstrative in showing exactly what the free was for . he was making a swooping movement with his hand as if the show that the ball was swept or scooped away. how could he think that. also was it not inside the small rectangle so why did he not give a peno. he mostly done ok though and there was no free until the 7th minute i believe which must be unheard of.

Wishfultinking, if Kerry hadnt off turned over so much ball in the last 7 minutes, when they were four points out, then they wudnt have lost, so no the referee wasnt entirely to blame, more so the kerry players, and declan o'sullivan for giving away the ball that led to the Dublin goal..

but dublin didnt score from turned over ball in the last 7 mins. they scored a good point, a goal from over-carrying and a point from a dodgy free

Wishfulthinking, Kevin Nolan's point was as a result of the Dublin middle third putting pressure on the Kerry backs, remember Connolly breaking out with the ball and feeding Nolan who popped it over from 40 yards.. To be honest i didnt think Kevin MC took too many steps for the goal, but definetely the free awarded at the end, shouldnt have been given as Barry John stood his ground...

I know its hard to believe he took that, but i genuinely believe his momentum took him through making big strides, but overall I still feel the correct decision was made to award the goal...

Didn't he disallow a goal for Kerry last year too Vs Down at a critical time in Q/f?
Kerry will dread anytime they see him down for one of their games in the future...

looking at the youtube clip it is not obvious that he took too many steps. i have seen far more obvious examples . that would have been so hard to spot as he took very small quick steps. ref could not be faulted for allowing that score.

The reason Brian Crowe quit intercounty refereeing was that he was asked to up grade a yellow card to a red card and didn't it would have ment a player missed an all ireland final. Brian Came out and said he was available to referee in cavan and ulster but not for the games on the all ireland phase after he was chopped by the gaa after refusing to go back on his decision.

The incident your referring to with Brian Crowe, was the 2007 AI semi-final, where Noel O'Leary seen red for clashing with Graham Geraghty..
