Sean a Cara Ta bron orm nil tu ceart, Sean I have to say that I stand over my comments about Donal and your lack of support for him.
I have in the past and at present been a supporter of Donal keogan who I feel did give 100% to Cavan football. I do not recall you giving any support to Donal when the vultures circled over him. If I now remember correctly I was his only supporter on H/S . As is a common saying those that are not with me in my hour of need are against me.

Tom one does not have to reply to be a supporter of Donal. Tom you were making that many posts about Donal I was wondering if in fact you were him. Of all the manangers that have come through the county at senior level I would say Matt Kerrigan and Tom Carr were really the worst. Tom Carr being the worst. Note this is at senior level there are others at different levels that could be added.

Sean,
I have to agree with you 100% Tommy Carr did not perform for Cavan.
Then again he came into Cavan after Donal resigned so that says it all.
Sean I make no apologies that I am and I have been a strong supporter of Donals who I feel did a lot for Cavan football.
I do know that he could be persuaded to return.

Well if Val walks I am sure he can put his name in the hat. He does have Cavan interest at 100%

Donal's return

Tom, I have one issue with same. When he left, he took a swipe at the players attitude. He should have stayed on, we beat Antrim by 6 in Belfast, lost by 3 to Armagh in the park and lost by a last kick of the game goal to Kildare in Newbridge. He should have stayed on and got rid of the players with the bad attitude in a low key but clinical manner. He was not pushed into leaving. Things might indeed be better now if he took this course of action.

Cavan need continuity at this point in time, not a new manager every 2 to 3 years. If players have a bad attitude then get rid of them, even if that results in a step backwards in the short term.

We now possess a group of young players between the ages of 17 and 22 that have either played in or won an under 21 Ulster football final or Ulster minor football final. They have seen the right way for a set up to work and it is essential that going forward that they see no other way. The current management team have a three year mandate and I hope that they stay in place.

Donals Return,

Just wondering if we set up a poll concerning the return of Donall Keogan what would be the ouitcome,
I see that an intelligent poster Kildare blue takes exception with Donal's previous departure by stating that he took a swipe at players attitute after he left.
Well I can tell you thst he was correct. The attitute of some of the panel has been horrible since Donal left.
I feel that he is the man to save us and rescue us from where we are today
Can we set up a poll to see what ordinary people think.

Donal Keogan put his neck on the line and managed the County team. I admire Donal for what he did for us and he certainly dosen't need mugs like tom smith trying to be smart.

Ochonlir,

Your attempt to discredit me with your description is despicibale .
I had since Donal's appointment supported him.
My posts will bear out that I recognized him as good person to lead Cavan forwrd.
If you or any other person cares to look at my past posts I will be seen as person who indicated that he had the ability and drive to lead us out of where we are today.I can also add that a few of the more vociferous posters on H/S were calling for his removal. Now thankfully these people seem to see the errors of their way and Donal's return would seem to be acceptable.

The managers job is not up for discussion at the county board so you are trying to get a laugh by putting forward Donal. Donal is a Cavan man with Cavan football close to his heart and you are trying to get a cheap laugh by pretending to be controversial. Im sure Donal dosen't appreciate you doing this, it's not funny.

Hogan Stand is a message board it dosent hold any sway in regard to managerial appointments or otherwise, but when people like you use it to sneer at individuals in much the same was as the multiple username poster cavangaafan does about seanie, it is dispicable.

Having a laugh on these pages is one thing but constantly sneering at or deriding individulas who try their best for our county is not on.

cop yourself on

990150 My posts have always been consistant, I believe the work being done at the Under 21 grade and the minor grade are the way forward. I congratulate success and effort.
I believe and still belived that the senior set up is fatally flawed. and that the person charged with bringing about change is incapable of doing so.
you believe that I have to be supportive of each and every grade and each and every person connect with each grade to be a 'true' fan. I believe that that as a true fan it is my duty to not acceptable the unacceptable.
you desire to snipe and throw insults does however indicate clearly the type of person you are

Ochonlir,
While I take the utterence of a constructive critic with due dillegence, I have to say that the attitude to my posts ( and other posts ) on the subject of Cavan Gaa by you leaves me confused.
It would appear from the above passages of your posts that you would prefer if we remained silent at the time of our great achievement in Clones by our minor team.
You could appear to some to have a mother superior attitude to other posters who may not have the same ability as you to profess in writing the joy that we all experience from time to time looking at Cavan Gaa teams.
As a person who supported Donal Keogans appointment from the outset I would prefer if you did not deride me in a public forum for my unending support for a man who did not receive much support from you when he most needed it.
