Can somebody please tell me how the best team in Division 1, Kingscourt who topped the table and won the league are allowed to join up with Shercock who are a good division 2 team with 2 county minors and 4 county under 17s?
Why would Kingscourt even want to join when they could win it on their own?

once the draw is made they have to play together..but its a bit of a laugh for cavan minor football....they have about 10 county players (either u17 or minor)....i soppose the county board dont want to see cavan gales winning it again this year!!!

What good will it be to be to them in the long run, theres gonna be 15 lads that were playing for either Kingscourt or Shercock in the league that wont get any football now and most of them will probably quit .

surely O'Raghailligh Gaels have to be favourites instead of Cavan gaels in div 1.

if kingscourt could win div 1 on their own and Shercock were near the top of div 2 and have 2 or 3 players on county team. they should be odds-on.
