Replying To Fionn: "Unfortunately, at 37, I am not sure we will see Patrick Horgan in a Cork jersey again, let alone lift the Liam McCarthy cup.
Yesterday was just one of those days when nothing went right in that 2nd half.
Hopefully they can re-group and win it next year, but I felt this was a hell of a chance for them, and they didnt take it.
It was some performance from TIpp though. A tactical masterclass." Ah here Fionn. What about the Dubs? Have you some Cork blood in you? because not being smart the only people outside of Cork that like to see Cork win have Cork blood in them. I dont like Cork and never have and most non Langers I know feel the same.There is an arrogance to them always thinking they are the best at everything. I have no ties to Tipp but I was delighted they tanked Cork. Now i do feel sorry for Pat Ryan but not Cork. Cork are grand when they lose but insufferable when they win.

Replying To sligo joe: "There is a huge cohort of gaa supporters out there who would struggle to give the Dubs any credit even if they played every game away.
There is a big Dublin/Rural divide and gaelic football supporters are not immune to it." You re wasting your time even replying to that clown.Even other Kerry contributors on here dont like him

Replying To BarneyGrant: "No, not there yet. Might never be, but I prefer the whole thing to be in hands of ourselves rather than the constant running around after some big name. No harm to any of them, but we have a situation now where Donoghue will have huge inside knowledge of Dublin when they play Galway in what could well be a crucial. Certainly will be for one or other.
That's ridiculous especially in the way he suddenly decamped! Footballers and DCB would never in a million years allow such a situation to come about," Agree with you and at the moment Dubs might be slightly better than Galway.Im certain MoD does nt want to lose to Dublin above all teams.

Replying To Fionn: "Interesting to see Eamon Fennell alongside Ger over the weekend in Parnell Park at the Dublin SFC double header.
Also, confirmed that the Dublin CB did speak with Declan about the role.
Great to see Con back to full fitness and score 3-06 upon his return.
We really missed him this year, but it was a very long season for him with Cuala etc.." We had Con v Meath and we got our arses handed to us. We were missing Bugler that day who was going great before that and I think the Meath loss affected us. On the Darcy thing.I heard money was a problem and while its only a rumour ,Darcy is getting good money by Leinster so I would say there is some truth to it. I think Darcy was first choice.

I have made no secret of my dislike of Donegal and yesterday confirmed it even more.They had to be called a few times to join the parade showing no respect and then they broke away from the parade half way around. The parade is part of the occasion but once again Donegal have to be different and let down the fans

Replying To LongfordgaaAbú: "Leinster Council delegates from all counties who voted to prevent this from happening again and again and again over the years should be held to account now. Especially those from smaller/weaker counties who time and again stood in the way of games being played outside Croker and time and again voted against the interests of their own county in order to enrich the Council and endear themselves to those running it.
Well done Louth and Meath, the Dubs will be back, but here's to a great final." I agree more games should be played outside Croker but Dublin did nt make the decisions. I also agree Croke park is of course an advantage but where else can you play finals. I have no problem with Dublin playing games away.In a perverse way Dublin are a disadvantage nowadays playing games outside of Croker as we not used to it like other counties.Croke park makes the decisions not Dublin and I know for true that alot of the players would like to play more games outside of Croker.Counties like Mayo and Kerry love playing there and other counties want the experience of playing there so its hard to keep everyone happy. Yes a home ground is an advantage and Dublin nominated Croke park instead of the Neller but for years both Meath and Kildare used Croke park as their home ground for all championship matches.

Replying To letsgetgoing: "Most counties don't have:
* 3 top and highly qualified S&C guys. (Martin Kennedy, Niall Moyna, Graham Nortan),
* Top goal kicking coach in Dean Rock.
* About a 10-12 coaches monitoring club games and no doubt other county games when they start.
* 2 goal keeping coaches in Josh Moran and Stephen Cluxton.
* MULTIPLE Physios.
* MULTIPLE Massurs.
* MULTIPLE Stats people monitoring training, club and county games and the opposition.
* MULTIPLE video analysis people.
* Well resourced sponsorship.
Let's call a spade a spade, Dublin have all the advantages, the main one being less travelling to and from training as the vast majority of their players live in Dublin which leaves much more time for recovery, study time/project work, family life etc. (much less stress and a huge advantage).
Playing for your county is a much greater commitment for a player playing for a rural county but working in Dublin or elsewhere as most of them do. (Maybe not Kerry players as most of them are teachers at home who can have a two hour sleep before training and still be back in their beds before 10.00pm and are full time athletes near All Ireland time)." Yes Dubs have resources and yes we have some advantages but you need talent too and the Dubs have that in spades.Loads of counties have big backroom teams like Roscommon but they just dont have the talent.

Replying To peiledoir20: "Meath as well? Mercy above, you'd be thrown out of the Hill by the real Dubs for admitting that.
I'd say you never even knew Dublin had a team before they went on the six in a row. You probably only started supporting them when Liverpool were going through their sticky patch.
Plastic Dub." You have nt a clue. Meath were great rivals of Dublin but we are glad to see them doing well again. I d be fairly sure that when Meath were playing Donegal most Dubs would prefer to see Meath win.

Replying To Fionn: "Are you on the wind up..????
Kerry beat the top 3 of Ulster and beat them all well.
They didnt even have to hit top gear.
Timed their run perfectly and nearly all their players had returned from injury in time for the final.
Their plan and timing worked.
Dont be doing what a lot of their fans do - undermine our All Ireland victories because of the opposition each year....!
(You only have to look at a recent nonsense post from one of them on this thread from a few days ago about Mayo being perennial losers).
Give credit where is is due.
They were the best team this year, end of.
As were we, for nearly a full decade.
Speaking of which, DF should have won more than he did with us imo.
Our new manager will be taking over a shadow of the team DF had to work with.
A much more difficult assignment, and our expectations need to be set accordingly." Ah fair enough Fionn.I hold my hands up here.I was just wound up by another contributor. I actually do respect Kerry and I often go to games with one of my best buddies who is a Kerryman.Tbf I always found their fans sound and always shake your hands after game.I go to Kerry every year with my buddy and they actually like the Dubs down there although they hate losing to us. i love young Clifford and he is probably the best player Ive ever seen. I had the pleasure of meeting him too while on holiday in the KIingdom and he is a real sound lad. Kerry deserved to win the All Ireland and I was actually cheering for them but I just dont think they are as unbeatable as many say. Sure before the final most of the pundits were picking Donegal and now after beating Donegal they are unbeatable. They have the Cliffords O connor and O shea and White but the rest while good players are no better than most other players. I just think that if we get our house in order I think we have a great chance next year. Im really looking forward to the league game under lights in croker and who knows maybe a certain midfielder might make an appearance.

The big hitters were always going to be there or there abouts - Cuala, Crokes, Na Fianna, Lucan, Boden.
But I would like to see Brigid's make the latter stages of the Dublin SHC." I think Brigids will have a big say this year.

Judes v Barrog
Lucan v Fianna

We are well aware we won't win Sam. But what's the point of getting to quarters or semis when you never win anything. As I said it's like saying oh I was standing beside the nice girl but she hadn't a bit if interest. Thanks. Oh I'm not bitter at all there. I am sweet as a blueberry on a cherry topped bun. You seem to pick rows with everyone here. It's a little bit petty and worrying please. Anyway I wish Andrew well in his new role. We have no Bugler, O'Donnell, Murchin, or Gannon.
And our midfield pairing is as was.... it wont be strong enough for Galway.
More than surprised Dessie has kept faith in that midfield to be honest, as it got cleaned out of it by Meath.
In fact the only change from the Meath game is Cian Murphy coming in, and Kevin Lahiff going out.
Hardly inspiring.....!" Fionn I know your heart in the right place but you have to admit Dessie got his tactics spot on today and we destroyed the Galway midfield.Dessie is the right man in charge.I was always confident of beating Galway.I think we can beat their hurlers too.
