Lough Lene Gaels withstood a magnificent third quarter Raharney team performance to win this Round 5 Divisional fixture of the Slevins Coaches SHAC played at Mullingar’s TEG Cusack Park, played on Sunday September 20th, by a margin of two points.

Lough Lene Gaels led the 15 times Westmeath SHAC title winners by a margin of seven points at half time, Lough Lene Gaels 2.10 Raharney 0.09. The third quarter of general play was dominated by Raharney, who outscored Lough Lene Gaels by 1.08 to 0.05 during that phase of play. Lough Lene Gaels though did outscore Raharney by 0.07 to 0.06 in the closing quarter of play of this match. Lough Lene Gaels therefore won this Round 5 fixture by a margin of two (2) points.

Lough Lene Gaels has qualified for the 2026 final of the Slevins Coaches SHAC. 

The 16 times SHAC title winners Castletown Geoghegan, the defending champions, will play Raharney in a semi final match of the 2026 Slevins Coaches SHAC.
