Coláiste Choilm Tullamore, Moate CS and St Pat's Navan advanced to the last eight of the Leinster PPS SF 'A' Championship following today's rescheduled preliminary round ties.
A penalty goal by Ryan Kenny right at the death in extra-time rescued a 2-7 to 1-8 victory for Coláiste Choilm and denied St Mary's Edenderry after a dogged battle between the two Offaly schools in tough conditions at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park.
On the astroturf surface at St Loman's GAA in Mullingar, Moate CS delivered an impressive display to see off Scoil Mhuire of Clane by 5-16 to 2-6.
Elsewhere in the Br Bosco Cup, St Pat's Navan's second-half goal proved all-important as they defeated Marist College Athlone 1-10 to 0-11 at Pairc Tailteann.
The winners of tomorrow's St Mel's versus Patrician Newbridge clash at Pearse Park will complete the quarter-final line-up which also includes holders Naas CBS, St Peter's College Wexford, Coláiste Eoin and Offaly Schools.
