Team news: McEntee named as captain as Royals suffer Jones blow

Meath's St Peter's Dunboyne duo Shane McEntee and Ronan Jones.

Shane McEntee has been named Meath senior football captain for the 2021 season.

The experienced St Peter's Dunboyne clubman skippered the Royals for the first time in a challenge match against Armagh last Saturday.

Andy McEntee's charges have been dealt a blow in their preparations for tomorrow's Allianz League opener against neighbours Westmeath in Navan after midfielder Ronan Jones dislocated a shoulder in the same match.
