Ballygunner ace Dessie Hutchinson says there’s still hurt from last year after losing their Munster club senior hurling championship title to Sarsfields.
The Waterford kingpins saw off Limerick’s Na Piarsaigh by 0-18 to 0-15 at the TUS Gaelic Grounds yesterday, setting up a rematch with Sars in the semi-finals of the southern province next Sunday week.
Speaking to TG4 Sport after the three-point win in Limerick, Hutchinson says the Gunners are well aware of the challenge that the Cork champions will bring.
“Obviously then there's the hurt of last year as well. I want them to get back and play Sarsfields again, like, you know,” the Waterford forward stated.
“It’s gonna be another tough test. They’re Munster champions, and they deserve to be Munster champions. We know the challenge that that's gonna bring.”
He added: “We'll enjoy this win first and then we'll get straight back to recovery tonight and go from there.”
