Noëlle Healy makes young fan's day.

Noëlle Healy received a request from a 1st year student in Longford, one that the five-time Dublin All-Ireland SFC winner just couldn't ignore.

Lea, from Meán Scoil Mhuire, was given the task of "writing to any famous person or someone, who inspires them" as part of her English homework, and chose Healy, who she describes as a "great footballer".

Sharing the heartwarming letter addressed to the LGFA Headquarters, on Twitter, Healy said: "A nice bit of post to arrive home to."

"Wonder could you help to get a response to her with schools still closed @LongfordLgfa?" the Dublin star added, with Meán Scoil Mhuire replying to the tweet.

An anesthesiologist at St James' Hospital, Healy took the time to reply to the youngster, accompanying a letter with a signed warm-up top from last year's All Ireland final and a pair of football gloves.

"A huge thank you to @NoelleHealy who replied to our 1st Year student, answering all of her questions," Meán Scoil Mhuire tweeted yesterday.

"Noelle also gave the student a pair of football gloves and Noelle’s own warm up top from her last All Ireland Final, which she also signed.

"What a wonderfully kind gesture!!!"
