Shay McGuigan's injury-time point handed Ardboe a dramatic 2-8 to 1-10 win against Trillick in yesterday's Tyrone SFC quarter-final at Pomeroy.

Trillick, who came into the game as short favourites, appeared to be on course for victory when James Garrity found the net after the break to push them into a 1-9 to 0-5 lead. Gavin Wylie's men refused to give up, however, and a brace of goals from David Mulgrew and McGuigan saw them level with 10 minutes remaining, 1-9 to 2-6.

Centre-back Gavin McCarron regained the lead for Trillick with a long range effort which looked to be the match-winner after Ardboe squandered a number of scoring chances. But, the Loughshore outfit soon steadied themselves up and levelled matters from a Mulgrew free before McGuigan had the final say.

Ardboe join Edendork, who were 0-15 to 1-10 winners over Galbally on Friday evening, in the semi-final stage.

The two remaining quarter-finals take place this afternoon with reigning champions Omagh meeting Killyclogher at Loughmacrory (1pm) and Coalisland taking on Errigal Ciaran at Pairc Colmcille (4.30pm).
