Derry manager Ciaran Meenagh says his side are staying focused on themselves as they look to push for promotion back to Division 1 in the Allianz Football League’s remaining two rounds.

The Oak Leafers crushed Cork with a 1-31 to 0-14 defeat at Celtic Park last weekend and are now looking forward to visiting Leinster champions Louth on Sunday week before hosting Cavan in the final round.

“You're only as good as your next game and our next game is against Louth in Ardee,” he is quoted saying by BelfastLive.co.uk.

“They beat Tyrone and I watched them on TV last night (against Cavan) and you would need to have your two feet on the ground when you’d be going there to play.

“We'll not be looking any further than that because I haven't looked at it that wild carefully, but my feeling is that we have to win that game because, if we don’t, then Louth will have us on the head-to-head.

“You have different permutations with Tyrone playing Meath. We have to just more or less stay focused on ourselves now and keep our feet on the ground after that.”
