A hurl belonging to Tipperary goalkeeper Barry Hogan which was taken after last Sunday’s Munster SHC clash with Waterford in Thurles has been returned.

Tipperary GAA had issued an appeal for the hurl to be returned after it went missing while the 2019 All-Ireland SHC winner signed autographs for fans after the game which Tipp lost to Waterford on a 0-17 to 1-22 scoreline. Such was the netminder’s relief at having it back that he gave the woman who returned it a gift.

“Barry’s hurley has been returned. If the lady who returned the hurley could (contact) us Barry has a thank you gift,” Tipperary GAA said in a social media post.
