There will be a repeat of last year's final in the first round of this year's Longford Senior Football Championship after holders Mullinalaghta were paired with Mostrim in last night's draw.

They were drawn in Group 1 along with St Mary's Granard, Longford Slashers, St Brigid's Killashee and Dromard. Group 2 comprises Clonguish, Rathcline, Colmcille, Carrickedmond, Abbeylara and Killoe Emmet Og.

The top four in each group will qualify for quarter-finals, with the bottom two in each section contesting the relegation playoffs to decide which team will make the drpp to the intermediate ranks.

In the Intermediate Football Championship, Ardagh Moydow, Ballymahon, Cashel, Kenagh, Fr Manning Gaels, Sean Connolly's and last year's junior champions Legan Sarsfields will play each other in a round-robin series with the top four advancing to the semi-finals.
