New series of Laochra Gael to feature 'Sambo', Macauley and McGurk

Terence 'Sambo' McNaughton will get the new series of Laochra Gael underway.
The iconic TG4 Laochra Gael documentary series returns to our screens next Thursday, 13 January, with Antrim hurling legend Terence ‘Sambo’ McNaughton kicking off the first of six episodes.
Dublin's eight-time All-Ireland winner and former 'Footballer of the Year' Michael Darragh Macauley is also profiled, along with Laois legend Sue Ramsbottom, two-time All-Star goalkeeper Joe Quaid, Corofin and Galway great Kieran Fitzgerald and Derry's Johnny McGurk, scorer of the famous match-winning point against Dublin in the 1993 All-Ireland semi-final.
This is the 20th series of Laochra Gael, which started way back in 2001, and as well as the players featured in each episode, there will be contributions from team-mates, opponents and family members.
