The article on HS says Simonstown were the most last current club to affiliate in 1965, but were St. Pauls not formed in the 70s after the previous club was expelled?

Why do the headings relate to Drama at the meeting, were things heated?

What will the protocol be with player registration?
Would assume they'd be taking a few players off neighbouring clubs and it won't be a fresh batch of adult players currently unaffiliated to any club.

Why is there no hurling team in the area. With a population of that size its a disgrace that the county board have not pushed for this instead.

It would have been a huge plus for the new club to include hurling and camogie in their proposal even if it was something that they would commence at underage level.

Was anyone else surprised at the four spoiled votes? If they had gone the other way it would have been a tie and it would have been very difficult to ratify even on a casting vote.

Regarding pitches, I am sure that the submission covered that.

Wolfe Tones were formed in 1975 too.

I take it from they're excluding amalgamations of previous clubs. Otherwise you'd have Duleek/Bellewstown, Na Fianna, Blackhall Gaels, Wolfe Tones, St. Ultans, Clann na nGael etc. etc.

See that the Eastern Gaels have failed to get there Ladies club across the line , resulting in a knock back to their academy commencing , does this look bad on Meath LGFA?Or is it just a blip on the road to setting up , meath gaa have given them the green light , surely with a 1 club ethos both organisations should be taking to one another, cannot see them troubling the established Cilles set up. Why isn't common sense prevailing here ??

The rumour in the Bull is that Royaldunne is behind it.

That assumes that the Colmcilles Ladies club is having identical problems to the ones that the mens club had. If St. Colmcilles LGFA aren't having issues, why should they see their player base reduced simply because the mens side were having problems?

The rumour over these parts is that they cannot field. If that is the case then that leads to an awful lot of questions on how the idea was allowed to come to pass in the first place. Looking at it coldly, it seems to me that the County Board did not do enough work here and that all of the clubs over here, each of which predicted this and were opposed to it were ignored. Everyone over here knew the craic
