Great start to the season to beat Cork 2-7 to 1-8 in first round of National League Div 1B. Cork are a team they would be still measuring themselves against and after the finish in the All Ireland semi final this was an important win albeit early in the season

Eamonn Murray, once again feet on the ground but very supportive of the players. Hope they have a good run in the league now.

Now reigning League and All Ireland champions! Well done to all the team. Probably shouldn't have been that close given how we played in the first 20-25 minutes but they showed excellent steel to come back after going behind.
Hopefully this will stand to them going into the championship where everyone will be gunning for them.

Had to beat the ref again also, some of the decisions he gave against Meath and for Donegal were just scandalous. To name but one, how did he give that penalty when clearly she over carried and the ball switched hands

Those ladies are facing a completely different season this year as they will probably be favourites from here on. Last Sunday was probably a microcosm of the season ahead where they mixed brilliance with the average giving rise to some edge of the seat stuff but they kept to the plan/system and more importantly belief in the plan and dug out a result that made them double champions. They learned to win the hard way while carrying the favourite's tag. More to come.

Great win for the ladies,dug deep and showed real character to come through in the end.Galway pushed then the whole way and the game could have gone either way but credit to the ladies that bit of experience showed in the end.With Dublin and Cork both knocked out its opened up even more but a stern test in the semi v Donegal awaits and we will have to be on top form to advance.

What these players have achieved is phenomenal in today's standards. They are a credit to Meath GAA. Two All-Ireland SFC finals in a row with one already in the bag. They have shown true grit and belief to get where they are. Their comeback against Cork last year will stand the test of time in true great turnarounds. None of this comes about by accident and a huge amount of praise should be heaped in their direction for the dedication and hard work required to meet these standards. The management team also deserves huge credit. The very best of luck to each and everyone of ye in the final.

Best of luck to the ladies tomorrow! Going to be exceptionally tough against a free scoring Kerry side but hopefully our defence can reign them in and the likes of Emma and Vikki can pick them off at the other end. Would be an excellent send off for Vikki and Orlagh to win two in a row.

What a brillant performance from the ladies.Huge congrats on making it back to back all Irelands.Went 1-2 down at the start but didnr panic a sign of real champions.The fitness level from them was unreal,up and down all day might be worth Colm looking into getting the fitness coach on board.Some super football played and what an atmosphere there today.It was great to see young and old, men and women decked in the Royal colours.Congrats to management and the ladies again.Its a great day to be from the Royal county.
