Another year and it looks again as if the off field issues will put a black mark on ratoaths on field success.

That's a weird statement! Were they accused of doping? Or did they have Paddy Jackson playing for them? No... they just had a bit of tension between some players and club, same as every team that ever wins anything.

You have an unhealthy obsession with Ratoath. Put a story out there....probably nothing behind it....but...mud sticks and gradually the rumour mill does the rest. Ratoath would be well off my Christmas card list but they are doing the business now over the past two years and fair play to them.
So put up or shut up.

A big COVID cluster from the GAA club is the rumour

Don't believe all you hear, there are a lot of nasty rumours going about Ratoath regarding Covid and blame is being shifted in certain directions, it suits certain agendas to point fingers in one direction.

I would hope some of the rumours are not true , the problem is that ratoath posters also told us that the truth behind davy byrnes exits was also nasty rumours when the dog on the street knew otherwise.

What is the truth so?

If you think I'm going to take that bait your sorely mistaken, it gives certain people pleasure to hear stories about Ratoath and silly things like the truth would never stop them spouting anyway.

I don't think a cluster of Covid is a reflection on a GAA club... it's a negative for the government surely?

I don't think any player or any person wants to be catching this thing, so not sure why you are trying to taint Ratoath as a result.

We should be supporting each other in these times not firing jabs at clubs based on jealousy or spite. Come on, this is bigger than GAA

What a nasty reflection on you for all to see. To even bring up the Virus topic in a way that you find pleasure. The towns and villages around South Meath were awash with Dublin people seeking pubs and indoor dining In the past three weeks as their own pubs never opened. It's impacted all communities - not just Gaa clubs. Stop peddling an agenda. Wish them misfortune on the pitch, even wish them misfortune off it... but don't bring these awful philosophies and theories of yours on here that involve that virus, the scourage of our time. People come on here to escape such a world. Thanks!

How is it a negative for the government if a person or group disregard the protective measures and catch covid? It's not Micheál or Leo's job to personally stop every individual from endangering yourself.

I'm not talking about Ratoath here as I've no idea what is or isn't happening here, but the idea that it's somehow the governments fault when people or groups don't take personal responsibility and cause things to get worse is bizarre.

I'm sure all clubs have members, maybe not even members, who delight it stirring it, but we seem to be the only ones whose cranks delight in playing out their toxic agendas in public. I don't recall posts from infighters in any other clubs being broadcasted here so frequently.

Just to let you know that, like other clubs, Ratoath is also full of positive thinking, hard working members, dedicated coaches and supporters who are the driving energy behind our progress and who are fed up being embarrassed by these clowns.

I wouldn't be huge fan of Ratoath GAA, like other posters, but some of the comments about them on here are ludicrous. Talk about storm in a teacup. The won the championship and showed serious composure when Kells, hard luck to them, lost the heads a little a the vital time. Fair play to Ratoath, deserved winners....lets move on.

Don't want to get political about this cos this is a GAA forum but shut the borders like NZ did and we'd be fine

That's what we should do. But we can't because of the "gaels" and "patriots" up north wouldn't accept it even though it would be for the good of the country they purport to be so proud to be from.
