So Folks whats your views on the draws made yesterday. Proper Knock out ethos now and if your not firing on all cylinders from the off clubs will be in trouble.

i have a snaking feeling kiltale could win it. the corona virus has given them time off to get hunger back, a dark horse is athboy to get to quater final. i think they will beat kilmessan and blackhall. dunboyne will come out of other side. trim to hammer longwood and killyon. Trim will make final i think

Every team mentioned except poor auld ratoath
I know they are considered a non entity but at least say who's going to hammer them

Ratoath could fancy their chances of an upset. Opportunity to knock out one of the finalists from last year will be a big target for them I'd imagine. Trim should get through to quarters handily enough, other two groups are tasty.

Inters: Winners to come out of the A group for sure, wouldn't want to put my money on which team though!

is it not the winners of the first game go straight through to semis or does anyone have the format?

It will all come down to what clubs have full squads to pick from.
Dual players will be under huge pressure so proper dual clubs like ratoath + kiltale might be short players due to football , kildalkey lads play junior level football and not really committed to balivor so should have full squad to concentrate on hurling which makes huge difference to preparation.
Fot that reason i would think they are favourites , with trim also in the mix
It hard to tell with kiltale what way they will go after last years loss , is it the end of the road for them or are they going to surprise us again , no doubt they still have the players.

I tell you what this trim team is being seriously bigged up. They way lads are talking I'd nearly back them for the club all ireland.

They dont lack confidence in trim , be it football or hurling , just medals

I think trim will struggle as there is too much demand with the football too. Quite a few lads who would rather get on the booze in lockdown rather then work on the fitness.

Think its kiltales to lose really if the get over kildalky in the first match

why would you say kildalkey hurlers are not fully comitted to ballivor football? i think Kiltale will be hurting from the final loss last year, their first ever loss in a final. I think kildalkey will be in semi or final maybe. Kiltale getting a kick up the backside is dangerous and time out to regroup and get hunger back. they have players there to win two or three more titles yet as i dont see any other club bar Trim coming with a huge array of talent. If Kildalkey have their veterans back they will be very close but might not have the hunger of last year. strength in depth could undo them if veterans call it a day.

I don't think Meath has seen an underage dominance in hurling such as Trim's in the last 10 years or so. If they win one, they could go and win 5.

Forget the club all ireland I'm now backing trim for the world cup.

i think Navan O'Mahoneys won 7 Minor A titlea in a row in late 90s early 00s. really should have won at least 2 senior titles , i think they were very unlucky in 2002 v kilmessan and actually put up a good show after a nightmare start in 2011 v kildalkey. 2009-11 was probably there best shot with all those minors of age, but ran straight into a Kildalkey team for the ages.

On the topic of Minor A hurling titles would any one be able to put together a roll of honor for last 30-40 years? be a nice edition to the program on senior final day. cant find the roll of honor any where, I know a few that I have programs of or was at. I know Athboy won it in 1995, Boardsmill/Kildalkey 1996 and I think Navan started thier 7 in a row in 97-2003. Kiltale won it in 2005, dont have much after that bar trim in recent times. I know Kells won it in 2008, Mickey Newman score 3 goals against Kilmessan in final!

I know Kildalkey havent won it on thier own since 1948. I know Kells also won it in 1994 they beat Athboy (Kells won the minor A football too that year). Im sure O'Mahoneys would have won a few minor doubles in that 97-2003 era.

My memory isn't what it was, but to the best of my knowledge:

2009-Gaeil Colmcille
2008-Kiltale
2007-Dunboyne
2006-Kiltale

I know for 3 or 4 years Dunboyne and Kiltale seemed to play each other in every final in the late 00s. Strange how Dunboyne actually faded away at senior level as these players were coming into what should have been their prime.

yeah kiltale held all thier players together. i think kiltale could win another 2 or 3 senior before the break up . a lot of them will be chasing down the Trim lads 9 senior medals in 80s and 90s.

Anyone who thinks kiltale aren't favorites for championship is deluded, them lads are 28/29, in their prime!

jack regan is younger than 28 so are the ryans, a lot of thier backbone is around 24-25 , they could win another 4 champioships and lose 4.

Anyone think any of the sides in the B could cause a few shocks at all? Great opportunity as we have seen in the last year or two with Trim, to progress further into the championship.
