Same again - or anything changes? Can't imagine they'll change much - was Lynch injured?
Young Flynn did really well in the middle.
Archer will need watching but our back 3 are strong too! I'd go with same 15 and Mitchell to come on for anyone struggling up front!

Luke Swan is a big unit and has height on our back 3 but should be ok. Sean Ryan has always bettered Archer and if fit should do it again.Flynn had a good day on Saturday as the tight pitch and conditions suited him. Would be worried about a big pitch and fast conditions. Think Mitchell deserves a start and Walsh to go to 11.

Who would you drop for Mitchell though? Don;t get me wrong hes a very talented footballer and wouldn't weaken the side by starting but I don;t think anyone played themselves out of the team the last day to be fair.

I'd put Mitchell in for Lynch, maybe Matt Moyles for Cian Rodgers but it'd be close. Disagree with Sean Ryan on Lynch. He is a great footballer but he likes to play very much on the front foot. He will win great ball and balls he has no right to win but he isn't the stickiest and isn't really an out and out marking corner back. In minor in 2017 Archer scored 7 points (6 from play), the first round under 17 in 2017 Archer scored 1-8 and I can't find the report from the Leinster under 17 final but I think he scored up on 10 points that day also. I'd prefer James O'Hare as I just think his game is to be a man marker and be really tight and not allow a forward play. This also allows Sean Ryan to get up the pitch a little bit and start attacks with his pace. Then put Michael Gavin on Luke Swan as he matches him for height anyway if not bulk. Be interesting to see how it all plays out anyway. I find with 17's and 20's there is way more one on one match ups which makes for more excitement

Yeah - doubt conditions will be much better on Saturday than they have been so far this week! I've played Parnell Park - not the biggest pitch in the world either - part of the reason the Dub hurlers like it so much is that it is tight!
I'd be more worried about parking!!!!

Game over after 5 minutes. Another talented Meath underage team to fall by the wayside.

Is he injured or just being kept for seniors?

He's injured. Was never fit to play in this game. Don't understand why he was selected in the first place and Andy has him down to start in Killarney tomorrow

Do you know this or is it a hunch?

Our embarrassing record at this age continues. Since 2001, 1 Leinster final appearance at 21's/20's, 0 titles. Bare in mind we won Leinster minor in 06 and 08 and won the 17's in 17 and 18. That's the number 1 reason for me why we have fallen off at senior. Dublin have 8 of the last 10 Leinster and are about to make it 9/11. 3 years ago the Meath 17's beat Dublin by 5 in Navan and again by 5 in Drogheda. They looked so far off it today. I know Shane Walsh, Sean Ryan and Cian McBride weren't playing but they don't make that much of a difference. It was extremely poor and has honestly made me question my faith in Meath football. These were the lads we were hoping on to bring Meath football back. Last year destroyed by Laois and this year by Dublin. Fair enough if it was close but completely hammered. A long drive to Killarney now

Bad hiding. Forwards an issue within the county. Walsh a big loss but I doubt he would have made that much of a difference.

Agreed, the fall off in form from very good/decent minor/u17 to u21/20 over the past 15 years is alarming and to date nobody has been able to come up with any answers. Worst still the fall off seems to continue on to senior and until we identify why this is the case we are not going to be able to correct matters. If this is not tackled head on we will become a footballing backwater. We urgently need a serious analysis of all aspects of underage and youth development.

I will throw out one reason as to why I think we are not making progress between 17/18 and in the 20 to 22 age brackets. We appear to have very few players playing at the very top level in third level colleges. I am not talking about being on panels but being the drivers or most important players of those teams.

Can't believe I travelled and paid €10 to watch that. Our 2 'senior' lads (O' Connor and Costelloe) were nowhere to be seen. You could say the only positive was that lads were getting stuck into the Dubs and fighting for the ball blah blah blah, but sure you'd expect that as a bare minimum from any team.

The U20's destroyed . I watched them a few weeks back against Monahan . Monaghan won by a point I think but for long periods Monagahan played Meath of the park. The Farney has away more polished footballers and were really well setup.

For our part we have serious issue with Schools football. Look at these successful counties there primary and secondary schools competitions are incredible and the schools in Ulster for example are prepped to the gils tactically and skills wise and train perhaps up to 3 times a week.

Asides St Pats sure three quarters of Meath schools are knocking about Div 3 and 4 in North Leinster, the schools teams hardly train and tactically well there are no tactics.

It's joke stuff . Monaghan turned a huge corner when they got McCartans and Carrickmacross schools back in the MacRory Cup.

Meath have shocking schools setup and I also believe we are away behind on the coaching and tactically neus when managing and setting up teams. I mean that was a trouncing today, embarrassing stuff.
