Dunboyne beating St. Colmcilles well was a bit of a surprise. St. Colmcilles won this age group at minor beating Na Fianna in the final if I remember correctly so thought they would have been decent enough this year. Hard to know with Ratoath, great first half performance but coupled with a horrendous second half showing. You would imagine the lads were probably still all celebrating, but with the Leinster championship still to be played it may impact the 21's campaign. I would say Na Fianna, already in the semi final and with Walsh and Devine in the ranks would have to be favourites. Out of senior at quarterfinals so have had a bit of time to rest and train together aswell.

I think the it will be between Dunboyne , Na Fianna and Ratoath this year , but I am not too sure if any of these lads care too much about it at this stage of the year which is a pity .

Not sure about not caring about it! I'd say any of the teams remaining would love to win it!!

I watched ratoath last night and was really impressed with first half but really disappointed in second half

Watched Na Fianna v Dunshaughlin and they are real good

Dunboyne have a strong team also

I think team that can get there best players on the pitch and up for it will win
But this is easier said then done

Looking forward to rest of competition

Anyone at the Summerhill Skyrne game last night? Rumour that is was abandoned - doubt it was a weather related thing!

I heard it was abandoned due to a fight yet Summerhill have on their Twitter Skryne won?
I would fancy Na Fianna at this level, 3 Meath seniors and class all over!
Ratoath a close second and if Skryne got there act together could run any team.
In Div 2, was anybody at the Bracks v Vincent's/Curraha game? Result of the year. Thought Vins/Curraha would contest div 1 never mind walk div 2.
Trim could be anything aswell!

Who are Na Fianna's 3 meath seniors - Ethan Devine, Shane Walsh and.....

I think Dunboyne will be hard to beat at this level - I agree Na Fianna will be there or thereabouts!

Bracks/curraha/vincents game was a super game of football, curraha/vincents went down to 12 men just before half time which bit them in the backside, however there was nothing in this game and curraha/vincents were still in it with 5 minutes to go, jack o connor a nice footballer but needs to control his temper a bit, was lucky to stay on the field.

I think both Dunboyne & Na Fianna will have a lot of their senior sides playing But I would not discount Ratoath . If teams can hold Shane Walsh of Na Fianna to low scoring (as they have just being kicking the ball into him all season and hoping for the best ) from the games I have seen him play it will make it difficult for Na Fianna to win anything . Ratoath have Aherne, McGowan etc and would have a stronger and older panel I would imagine , whereas Dunboyne should be the strongest with mainly 21 year olds playing and should have enough to win title

Ratoath WILL win the U21, and rightly, are favorites.
Majority of last years runners up squad available, and most have a championship medal in the back pocket already this year.
Don't expect anyone to get within 6or8 points of us.
It's called, an embarrassment of riches!

Anymore Word on the Summerhill and Skryne game ?
Surely with all the furore that went on for Kildalkey and Rathoath Hurling that was abandoned there will be something similar for this???
