Charlie Reuter fires over for Meath during their Tedd Webb Cup win over Galway at Grangegodden

The Meath Under 16 squad capped a very good Saturday with wins in the Gerry Reilly Cup and the Tedd Webb Cup.

Following on from their opening round win over Louth in Ballinlough the young Royals made the long trip to Clare GAA Centre of Excellence and claimed a comfortable 4-14 to 1-10 win. The visitors were 0-10 to 0-2 in front at half time playing against the wind.

Closer to home in Grangegodden, Meath recovered from their opening round defeat with a 3-19 to 1-5 victory over Galway. With goals from James Heery and Danny Gorman the home side led 2-8 to 0-3 at the break. Meath totally dominated the opening twenty minutes of the second half and when top scorer Conor Hassett raised their third green flag Meath were well on their way to victory.
