A Mayo jersey signed by Kobe McDonald has raised €400 for a good cause.

With ‘Kobe-mania’ sweeping Mayo following impressive cameos against Monaghan and Armagh in the Allianz Football League, the Crossmolina wonderkid kindly donated the jersey to a fundraising quiz in memory of John Dolan in Castlebar Mitchels GAA club last Saturday night. The event featured an auction where McDonald’s jersey helped to raise vital funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT).

A native of Castlebar, John was just 28 when he passed away last October from a rare form of cancer in Brussels where he had worked in the hospitality sector for two years. KBRT were an enormous help to John’s parents and family at a time of such great loss and sadness, giving them support and advice.
