Team news: Cahill names nine of All-Ireland final side for league opener

Waterford manager Liam Cahill has named nine of the side that lost to Limerick in the All-Ireland final for their Allianz Hurling League opener tomorrow.

Goalkeeper Billy Nolan, defenders Mark O’Brien and Iarlaith Daly, midfielder Darragh Lyons, and Conor Gleeson and Colin Dunford, who both start in attack, come into the fold for the match against Cork at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. With All-Star netminder Stephen O'Keeffe taking a year out of inter-county hurling, Roanmore clubman Nolan steps in between the posts.

Waterford (Allianz HL Division 1 v Cork): Billy Nolan; Ian Kenny, Conor Prunty, Shane McNulty; Mark O’Brien, Iarlaith Daly, Kieran Bennett; Darragh Lyons, Calum Lyons; Jack Fagan, Conor Gleeson, Neil Montgomery; Stephen Bennett, Austin Gleeson, Colin Dunford.
