Oisin Williams RIP.

Tributes have been paid to a talented young Tipperary hurler who tragically passed away yesterday.

16-year-old Oisin Williams, from Cloughjordan, was a star forward with his local Kilruane MacDonagh's GAA club. He also proudly represented the county at underage level.

As a mark of respect and sympathy to the Williams family, Kilruane MacDonagh's flew its tricolour at half mast today.

"There are no words. Oisìn was a member of our Academy Squads. A tremendous young player with blistering pace who had a knack for scoring goals!" his former Tipperary coach Paudie Malone said on Twitter.

"[He] would always greet you with a smile and a little chat. Sympathies to his family and many friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis."

Another coach described him as "the life and soul of the dressing room" and "a serious hurler and a natural goalscorer."

Oisin was predeceased by his brother Colm, and is survived by his parents Pat and Liz, brothers Thomas, David and Paidí and sisters Leah and Ciara.
