Seamus 'Cheddar' Plunkett during his managerial stint with Laois hurlers

Seamus 'Cheddar' Plunkett is in line to return as Laois senior hurling manager, succeeding Eddie Brennan in the role.

Plunkett previously managed the O’Moore County’s hurlers from 2012 to 2016 after which he was succeeded by Eamonn Kelly.

Laois Today reports that the 59-year-old’s appointment will be confirmed in the coming days.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Brennan has taken up a coaching role with Dublin champions Cuala 10 days after departing as Laois boss.
