Glen Rovers 0-22

Erin's Own 3-9

Patrick Horgan was the scoring star once again for Glen Rovers as they overcame the stiff challenge of Erin's Own to book their place in the Cork SHC final.

The county senior hurling captain hit 0-14 to lead Glen back to the decider but they did it the hard way having trailed 2-6 to 0-7 at half-time. Goals from Maurice O’Carroll and Cian O’Callaghan had the underdogs primed to cause an upset.

However, Erin's Own cause wasn't helped when key defenders James O’Flynn and Stephen Cronin were forced off through injury at the end of the first half. Their loss was certainly felt as Glen gained a foothold to outscore their opponents 0-15 to 1-3 on the restart.

City rivals Blackrock will provide the opposition in next Sunday's final after they defeated UCC 3-26 to 0-34 after extra-time in yesterday's first semi-final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Shane O’Keeffe (2) and Alan Connolly scored the crucial goals for the Rockies.
