Great news regarding a start date and contractor secured for the new stadium in Dundalk. A great time for Louth GAA.

What's the smallest GAA club in your county? - 3 Like(s)
The smallest club is easy.

Go to the smallest county - Louth

The smallest club in Louth - Annaghminnon Rovers GFC 1959 "The wee club from the wee county"

Division 6 with about 30 members (which includes all committee and players)

Most of the committee i.e secretary, vice chairman, vice secretary, PRO play football still

No underage and living on a year to year basis. Some lads are playing from the mid 90's still and haven't missed a season.

The GAA is still alive.

We need a manager/trainer at the moment so check us out above.

RIP Micheal McKeown - 3 Like(s)
Sad news this week as our game, club and county has lost a true gaa stalwart. Condolences to Mary and the immediate McKeown family, Louth ladies and wider GAA community with whom he was held with such high regard.

Best of luck to Ger Brennan regardless of the outcome. He'll have his own take on the approach.

I must tip my hat off to young Matthew Costello for playing in such difficult circumstances. May his dad rest in peace

Mickey Harte - Where To Next.? - 2 Like(s)

Replying To GreenandRed:  "Did Harte's departure strengthen Louth in 2024? Ger Brennan a younger more modern manager, closer in age to the players and from his role in UCD a man who can recognise emerging talent and develop it. Good for Louth in the long term."
Hard to tell but Ger has definitely progressed us after a great 3 years with Harte/Devlin. People underestimate the roll Gavin Devlin has in the combo, he was very influential in the Louth set up and previous ones and a top addition to have back in. Roll on next year

Must pay homage to a great team in Dublin for all they've achieved in the past 6 years. Also well done to Mayo for being the outfit who defeated this great team.

Best wishes to Mickey Harte. He done a brilliant job in Louth and Offaly have some top talent. He'll definitely improve them. Be interesting to see how he gets on without the Horse Devlin.

Replying To francie81:  "I won't be holding my breath tbh their will be even more pressure on us now to beat them for the 2nd time of asking plus giving the reshuffling within the first 15 of late, I hope am wrong but like I was saying on the first outing am staying quiet, Devlin will really need to do his homework on them from the first game and has ample time to do so."
Will have to improve massively on the Portlaoise performance.

Love to know how many posters on here are involved or have been involved in underage football in Louth.

A Leinster final was a great achievement and the lads have another game against the benchmark Kerry. All great experience.
