Wexford manager Darragh Egan wants his team to show greater consistency in next year's Leinster SHC round-robin series.

The Slaneysiders struggled in the early rounds of this year's provincial campaign before pulling off an historic victory over Kilkenny in Nowlan Park to prolong their season.

"Leinster is going to be a very different proposition in 2023 with the managerial shifts," Egan told gaa.ie at the launch of Wexford's new commemorative jersey to mark 130 years since the county’s first All-Ireland success

"We in Wexford just need to be better than we were. We had some up and down performances all throughout that Leinster campaign. We finished with a brilliant performance in Nowlan Park where we absolutely owned the game. But it’s that consistency of performance over a six-seven week period that we really need to go after.

"Our approach to the league this year will be slightly different because we need to be firing once April 22 comes."
