Top award for Farthing as Galway dominate minor football selection

All-Ireland champions Galway have six players selected on the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Football Team of the Year, including Player of the Year Tomás Farthing.

Farthing is joined by team-mates Kyle Gilmore, Cillian Trayers, Jack Lonergan, Éanna Monaghan and Colm Costello in the selection. Mayo, who beat Galway twice in the Connacht MFC before losing the All-Ireland final to their great rivals, have Rio Mortimer, Paul Gilmore, Diarmuid Duffy and Ronan Clarke included.

Ulster champions Tyrone are represented by Ben Hughes, while Derry's Ruairí Forbes and Johnny McGuckian have also made the team. 

Completing the line-up are Fionn Murphy from Kerry and Dublin's Joe Quigley.
