Very inexperienced team named for tomorrow especially in defence. No Ben Guckian is he injured? It's going to be tough tomorrow make no mistake but I'm going to go and back this young team and hopefully we have a good support down in Ennis. Best of luck lads.

Good win last night, well done to the Leitrim lads. Looked ominous when we were 5 down halfway through the first half, it looked like Carlow would build up a big lead, backed by the strong wind. However we got to grips with them from there on keeping possession and got a few scores to keep us well in touch at halftime. We kicked on with the breeze with some great two pointers early in second half , a freak Carlow goal from a wicked bounce from a great Mark Diffley block threatened to spoil our momentum but we pushed on again and were well worth our 6 point win in the end. Everyone played a vital part but Killian Gaffey was solid in goal ,was unlucky with the wicked bounce for the goal and kicked his frees well. Defensively we were struggling a bit early on but tightened up significantly as the game went on, Eoin Mc loughlin and Keith Keegan played stormers Conor Quinn won a world of ball at midfield and up front Paul Honeyman was outstanding backed up well by Ryan and Riordan O'Rourke and the other forwards played their part too. Hopefully we can get a home draw in next round and hopefully it's a 2 week break until our next outing so we might get some of our injured lads back.

The very best of luck in the final lads. No doubting it's a huge task but when you see what happened to Kerry and Donegal it shows anything can happen on the day. Hopefully ye finally get the breaks and rub of the green in a final.

The great PJ Carroll has sadly passed away, done a lot of ground work for 94 with the All ireland B in 1990 and Connacht Under 21 in 1991 and promotion in the National league. Unfortunately Roscommon were our bogey team in the championship in those years and there was no back door them times. Came back and won a senior championship with Aughavas in 2000. Rest In Peace PJ.

Congratulations lads on your well deserved promotion ye were robbed by the penalty decision In Carrick last year but dusted yourselves down and made no mistake this time. Hope ye push on in division 3 next year , management and players leaving on masse gave us no chance of competing in division 3 this year but ye have a team capable capable of staying staying up next year at tthe very least.

Well done Louth, delighted for ye a great GAA county ,manys a great battle we had against ye in Drogheda, Ardee and Dowdallshill over the years, met some great supporters who doubted a day like Sunday would ever come. Agree with previous posts , the problem we seem to have is retaining players and who's to know how many of the younger lads that have come on the panel will decide to go travelling and step away next year or year after, it's been happening for years and I'm not blaming players as they have a life outside football to lead but until we can retain a core panel for at least 4 ot 5 years we'll be constantly in the cycle we're in , rebuilding and whenever we do get promoted straight back down because a raft of lads step away at the one time just like last year. Take each game as it comes starting in London Sunday week and if we can get out full team out we are at least capable of being in the mix
