Gearoid Hegarty has been left out of the Limerick team for tomorrow evening's Munster SHC Round 2 meeting with Clare at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

The former Hurler of the Year, who was sent off on two yellow cards in last Sunday's narrow win over Waterford, is replaced by Cathal O'Neill, while Seamus Flanagan is named at full forward, despite facing a possible retrospective ban following a high challenge on Stephen Bennett in the opening round.

Captain Declan Hannon has also been named at centre back, despite coming off with a groin injury against the Deise.

The Clare team shows two changes from that which lost to Tipperary in the first round with Eibhear Quilligan replacing Eamonn Foudy between the posts and David Fitzgerald returning from suspension to replace Ryan Taylor.
