Loughmore-Castleiney won’t have much time to celebrate their second Tipperary SHC and SFC double in eight years with a trip to Ennis to face Eire Óg in the first round of the Munster club SFC awaiting them next Sunday.

The remarkable dual club edged out neighbours Thurles Sarsfields by 2-14 to 2-13 in an epic Tipperary SHC final replay yesterday, but they’ll be back at it this week preparing for the football clash with the Clare champions.

It will be Loughmore-Castleiney's 18th weekend in-a-row between both codes to be in championship action. And it won’t end there with another road trip to Dungarvan to take on eight-in-a-row Waterford hurling champions Ballygunner to come on Sunday week.
