Kilkenny will play Dublin in the Leinster senior hurling championship final for the second time in four years following this afternoon fifth round results in the eastern province.
The Cats edged Wexford with a 1-24 to 2-20 victory UPMC Nowlan Park to advance to their fifth straight Bob O’Keeffe Cup decider.
Conor McDonald’s 20th minute goal had helped the visitors to lead by 1-11 to 0-12 at the half, but the holders stormed in front early in the second-half and netted a TJ Reid penalty in the 51st minute.
Wexford did bag a Cian O’Byrne goal with six minutes remaining but finished one point short in the end, as they now get set to enter the All-Ireland SHC preliminary quarter-finals.

In Salthill, Dublin punched their Leinster final ticket and brought the curtain down on Galway’s season thanks to a 2-27 to 1-24 over the 14-man hosts.
Micheál Donoghue’s side got an early Sean Currie goal before their opponents lost midfielder David Burke to a red card for this challenge on Fergal Whitely.

The Tribesmen would still go on to lead by 0-19 to 2-11 at the half, but the visitors made their numerical advantage count after the turnaround as Donal Burke’s deadly accuracy from frees helped see them over the line.
Meanwhile, Antrim held on to their Leinster SHC status for 2025 by recording a 4-22 to 2-22 at home against Carlow who will return to the Joe McDonagh Cup next season.
