Malachy O’Rourke says he remains fully committed to Glen, despite being linked with inter-county posts on a regular basis.

The former Fermanagh and Monaghan manager was heavily linked with the vacancy in Derry before it was sensationally filled by Mickey Harte, while he was also a contender for the Donegal job this time last year.

"The only thing in my mind was the Glen lads because the club have put so much effort into it," he told BBC NI after guiding the Maghera club to a three-in-a-row of Derry SFC titles last Sunday.

"The boys have given so much commitment and it was that case, that at this stage to leave them, it would just be a feeling that you wouldn't be giving them a chance to reach their full potential.

"That was the reason for it. We are obviously delighted to be able to do that and retain the title and get the three-in-a-row. That's all my focus is."
