Midleton are set to be without star forward Conor Lehane for next weekend’s Cork Premier senior hurling championship final against Sarsfields after he suffered a partial Achilles tear.

Lehane struck 0-12 in his side’s semi-final win over Blackrock last weekend, including a remarkable winner in extra time which booked his club’s third county SHC final berth in five years.

The injury is now expected to keep the Rebels attacker out of action for a number of months, according to a report from EchoLive.ie.

Meanwhile, full-back Eoin Moloney will also be sidelined for Sean Og Murphy Cup decider after sustaining an Achilles rupture that will see him needing surgery.
