Michael Murphy is set to make a sensational return to the Donegal colours in 2025.
The 2012 All-Ireland SFC winning captain has been persuaded to return to the fold by manager Jim McGuinness, two years after announcing his inter-county retirement. Murphy retired in November 2022 at the age of 33, but is now on the cusp of returning, which will be music to the ears of all Donegal supporters.
Despite his advancing years, the Glenswilly clubman remains one of the top performers in the Donegal SFC and his return is certain to give the Tir Chonaill men a huge boost as they aim to build on this year’s Ulster SFC and Allianz League Division 2 triumphs.
Murphy is a regular pundit on BBC and GAAGO, while he was also a member of the Football Review Committee in recent months.
