The Westmeath SFC final replay between St Loman's and The Downs has been fixed for this Saturday at 3pm after confusion reigned at the end of last Sunday's drawn encounter.
A PA announcement immediately after the final whistle said that extra-time would take place, but then county board officials told each dressing room that a replay would be taking place instead. Clubs had agreed at the start of the year that there would be a replay in the event of the senior final ending level, but that was clearly forgotten about in the meantime.
The replay could not take place this Sunday as TEG Cusack Park is already committed to hosting an IFC and JFC final double-header.
