There is a strong possibility that Dingle will represent Kerry in this year’s Munster club SFC following their Kerry club SFC success last weekend.

Despite having Liam O’Connor sent off with 10 minutes to go, the West Kerry outfit finished strongly to edge out Kenmare by 1-9 to 0-11 in Tralee. Given the strength of the divisional sides in the Kerry county SFC, there is every chance that Dingle – who welcomed home Mark O’Connor from the AFL for Saturday’s club final – will end up flying the flag for the Kingdom in Munster, something that wasn’t lost on their Kerry forward Paul Geaney.

"All credit to the lads, we really haven't won anything the last few years. The last big cup we won was 2015,” he told Clubber TV.

"It's just unbelievable to win this because I suppose with the Kerry county championship, and East Kerry being so strong, every club is targeting this competition to go on and represent Kerry if a district does win it."
