James Murray was the talk of Páirc Tailteann last Saturday after sending four sideline cuts between the posts in Trim’s Meath SHC semi-final victory over champions Kildalkey.
The centre forward emulated Joe Canning’s feat for Galway against Limerick in the Covid-hit 2020 All-Ireland SHC semi-final with two converted sidelines in either half, while he was narrowly off target with a fifth. With Murray – who finished with 1-6 in total – in this kind of form, Ratoath can’t afford to give away any sidelines inside their own half in the upcoming Jubilee Cup decider!
Have a look at the Meath hurler’s unbelievable skill here:
TweetFour, yes FOUR scores from sideline cuts in one game!🤯
