Only three weeks or so until the under 21s are out against Fermanagh. Looking forward to it and hopefully we can get some enjoyment out of the team. What do you think their chances? patman92 (Cavan) - Posts: 71 - 28/02/2017 15:18:42 1962134 Link 0 |
What kind of panel have they? I assume there's a good number of Ramor boys on it?

As far as I know I think its only Sommerville and Killian Maguire, maybe the goalkeeper as well.

don't assume anything. Pretty much a closed shop. Panel selected from previous minor and u21 teams. No open trials for this grade !!!

How do we think our county underage team will go . Is there any potential senior players that could move into senior team this year. We should beat Fermanagh on Wednesday night. Maybe Sean can shed some light on our underage up and coming talent . Breffinifan (Cavan) - Posts: 91 - 13/03/2017 00:09:18 1966584 Link 0 |
Thomas Galligan you would hope will develop in to a good mobile ball playing senior midfielder.Conor Bradley will be a good addition to seniors in time.David Brady a county senior in the making but is out with injury this time and is U21 again in 2018..Caoimhin O'Reilly,Ryan Connolly really good forwards, not the biggest though but bigger than Mark Bradley at senior county yesterday.David Wilson Lacken a fine footballer, all round good player and is versatile.Conor Brady just out of minor last year but was standout at minor midfield.Big strong u21s lads like Mattie McKenna,Cormac Daly,Brian Magee,Donal Monaghan i'm sure will be looked at.Outside of 21s panel Barry Fortune,Brian O'Connell,Mark Magee,Damien Barkey,O Connell half/corner back from Castlerahan have potential at senior level amongst others but not sure if committed or if given a chance yet. celt2018 (Cavan) - Posts: 160 - 13/03/2017 11:26:30 1966647 Link 0 |
To my knowledge there is no under 21 grade in 2018. Re David Brady I noted that he was togged out as a Sub for DCU in the Sigerson cup a few weeks ago so unless he got injured since.

Probably because Cian McManus and Pierce smith were joint captains and they will line out against each other tonight

Because it's about the Fermanagh team and the fact that one of their players on Pats team.

I didn't get to it but seemed like a complete walkover. I don't think that Fermanagh team were up to much but fair play to the lads for getting the job done. No doubt the winners of Donegal/Tyrone replay will 2-3 sweepers covering Caomhin O'Reilly! Reformation (Cavan) - Posts: 356 - 16/03/2017 07:14:16 1967454 Link 0 |
I am not sure if much was gained from last night's hammering. Sad to see any team take such a hiding. It can't be easy to keep under age going in small populated counties. kildare blue (Cavan) - Posts: 578 - 16/03/2017 09:42:20 1967466 Link 0 |
