Any chance of Lynch being back if they make the final?

No it was an ACL injury. He'll probably miss early part of National league next year n

Short answer no. He had the op 3 weeks or so after doing the ACL in late April. Minimum of 24 weeks after surgery before any physio would let a lad play, and he's around 20 weeks post op this week. He's jogging as far as far as I know, but contact and such a different story. If anything, Ulster Championship might be an aim should they get there. Anything else would be an extraordinary turnaround

Grand had just heard a rumour he might be back was thinking it was unlikely

Word is that he will be back by then. He'll have the winter to get it back strong. Maybe they might not chance him on heavy pitches early rounds, but he will be fit before then

Cavan would have been relegated without Lynch in the league this year. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and not rushing back for the sake of it. .
Colm O Neill in Cork done the cruciate 3 times. Not sure if was the same knee, but was very unfortunate.

First 2 calls there were unreal lad!

Gowna out. Can't seem to beat Ramor. Bad form at the end too, some players taking into a lad on the ground. Could see long bans

The lad on the ground seemed to put in for it from what I could see. Spectators shouldn't be allowed onto the field after the game, if you weren't good enough to be on the pitch during your playing days you shouldn't be trying to enter it when you're watching

He was actually named on the bench yesterday, but think that was a ploy and no way he was actually close to being able to play. 2 weeks time for the final? Hmm, I dunno. Seems too soon

Yeah fair, I just rewatched the end of game footage. It's a certain person with a Facebook page who came on the field and accosted McCabe. And then got a boot on the ground. Lad shouldn't be on there, but players need to keep away and don't risk bans by booting fools who enter the field

Entering the field to celebrate is not the problem.
Entering the field to follow the opposition manager across the field to jeer at him is a problem and had consequences.

Be interesting to hear what the knockers of last weeks games have to say about some of the diabolical performances at the higher grades this weekend..

Well we are hardly surprised… how did he make so quickly on to the field ? For all the slack McCabe gets he was very calm at the final whistle .. the number 11 in question … again.. not surprised!

I'd have been critical of McCabe before but he did very well in the face of this. He didn't take the bait, and seemed to be trying to get his players in. Your man came in from the stand straight after the whistle, went to McCabe, followed him on to the field, and then fell to the ground after attempting to shoulder McCabe a few times. That's when the players came in. They may have some comeback here after the incident though, based on the video I saw.

routine win for the shamrocks in the league final?

Paddy lynch back for the final should be a big help for Crosserlough but with Smith very much in doubt Ramor have to be narrow favourites. If Smith and Lynch start and stay on for 60 minutes Crosserlough will win.
