Absolutely shambolic that Ballyhaise will now play division 2 football next year, Lacken have won one game but that's all they've had to win.

Replying To KingdomofBreifne:  "Veterngaa/Tom, your own club Scotstown operate a transfer system that would make Man City blush. On top of that, your superclub assimilated its neighbouring parishes. Youd be better served chatting to Mrs T about Scotstown's chances of winning an Ulster or whether they need to look beyond the 'parishes', or maybe even Monaghan, again for players to strengthen the squad."
There only ever has been the one parish, Tydavnet. Knockatallon and Tydavnet had clubs but could not field teams so the 3 teams almalgamated to make Scotstown in the 60s, 1 parish 1 club, quite simple. In fact Knockatallon only had underage come the 60s but emigration hit hard. The area is very rural. Maybe look into your facts first my man. As for your transfer system jibe, the Monaghan by laws allow players to transfer based on family ties. As for after that, you must live in the parish itself. Tydavnet is not even the biggest parish in Monaghan.

Lacken making a mockery of the division 1 league but a big result for them going into championship

if ballyhaise were worth their salt they would have beaten Lacken. From 8 points up to a concede 3-7 in the second half and lose, they can have no complaints

That doesn't change the fact that Ballyhaise finished on 9 points and were relegated, Lacken finished on 0 points and stayed up. The concept of a league is to judge a team over the course of a period of games, not a 1 off match.

Those rules are a joke. Killygarry stay in Div2 after being unbeaten, and Lacken stay up after not winning a regular league game. Should be fairly easy to put in place that top go up, bottom go down and work out the playoffs around that

Nonsense, Tom. You've multiple teams and are skewing the landscape in Monaghan gaa. Aren't you discussing on the Monaghan forum the chances of the Scotstown super club winning both Senior and Junior this year. You have the nerve to say that a club the size of Arva competing in Junior, when they amalgamate yearly at underage to compete, often in the lower divisions, is wrong, when your own franchise is putting out about five adult make teams. Your masquerading as 'Tom' is revealing nonetheless. The choice of Cavan Gaels as your fictional club, who themselves have benefitted from players resident in the Cavan parish playing for them, matches perhaps the transfer system Scotstown use to bolster their ranks.

True, they have a habit of throwing away leads. The Ulster Club game last year they were coasting against Cullyhana.

'Veterngaa/Tom', you didn't think this one through, did you? This is very pathetic. I'd love if you explained the logic of setting up 'another' handle with an almost identical name to my own. The info below your post showing it posted only 2 times so far is proof of who you are. Acknowledging the fact that I'm a superior debater to 'yourselves', this amount of flattery is too much.

Would ya stop? You are like a dog running after its tail. Weeks and weeks of accusing people having different accounts. Take a break off this would ya. Good lad.

What happened Gowna last night, game over after 10mins?

Ballinagh and Lavey going up to Div 1, Bailieborogh and Redhills up to Div 2

Gowna always struggle with Ramor, and think they're trying things with keepers so the goals caught them. Likely sandbagging too and not showing too much ahead of Championship I'd have thought

Great to see there's no rush on the championship fixtures yet...no need to hurry, the draw was only made months ago.

The Ulster Club doesn't start until till November so they need to keep the championship ending close to that date or the teams would be waiting a long time going into Ulster. The league doesn't need to be rushed off as quick. Some teams with no football for 6 weeks

Yet you'd want to see the way they busted themselves to finish the hurling, even not allowing postponement of games when both teams wanted it, in order to finish it up 3 months before Ulster Junior Hurling club game. Mad stuff.
