As a supporter I just want to thank Mickey for his time and effort with the County team. The high point was the Ulster title in 2020. That title brought so much joy to Cavan in a time where there wasn't a lot else to cheer about. Go raibh maith agat Mickey. Agree with above thank you Mickey and management and team for two great years that will never be forgotten and for the brilliant football played during those years and anyone who does not appreciate the achievements in 2019 and 2020 is not a genuine cavan supporter. Well when you bring a team all the way down to Division 4 then no matter who the manager is will be severely hamstrung when it comes to competing for an Ulster title…. Mickey won with a team that had been competing on a regular basis in Div 1/2 for a number of seasons which was a huge help… After our great win in 2020 we have regressed dramatically in both leagues and Championship and anyone who doesn't agree with that is very naive… We will no doubt wait a while for another Ulster win or maybe even a final appearance but Graham can take his share of the blame for this too…..

Can you not give it a rest for 1 minute? Every post on every thread a variation of the same sentiment. WE GET IT, You don't like Mickey Graham and you wish football was as simple as when you were a young fella

Yeah the ulster title certainly the highlight and even the all-stars to go with it too. Certainly got more out of the team than most of our previous managers and even the majority of other counties in the same comparable timeframe. Cavan were always going up and down divisions from as long as I can remember. League was never taken seriously, it was about bringing in new, younger players and championship was always the important one, no matter what. Like I said before, Hyland and McGleenan and a few managers before all toyed with Division 1 and 2, yet none of them could get to an Ulster Final. Graham introduced new players, went down to Division 4, won and an Ulster Senior Football Title, and no matter what you think, you cant take that away from him, he will go down in history as a Cavan man who managed his home County to an Ulster Senior Football Title.

Exactly. Yon lad needs to be ignored. He thinks he right no matter what. I'd say he was raging with the Ulster win as they couldn't be negative on it. They've spent enough time running the win down anyway...

Our last win prior to 97 was in the 1969, and at a guess, I think it was the great Mick Higgins.

Not born in Cavan, but I think we can claim him as a Cavan Man, and I think Mick classed himself as one.

I was delighted with the Ulster win you fool but it had very little to do with Mickey Graham… His tactics had them beaten by Down until the players took it upon themselves to go for the game and got over the line… had they stuck to Grahams instructions we would have no Ulster title in 2020… A steady slide since that great day would lead anyone with an ounce of football knowledge to say that this guy wasn't up to County management…..The team's demise since that proves it yet somehow posters seem willing to applaud mediocrity and continues failure… baffling
